Brand Spotlight: Ethical Brand(s) Highlight

We have been receiving some great products recently from some truly amazing brands. We wanted to take this moment in time to do a little review on these six companies; Amapeta, Osco, Plane Products, Badala Bath Co, Knours, and Bybi! Everything they sent us worked great for my skin, but I have deeper thoughts than that, here they are:

Amareta:

Serum Lotion -

This serum goes on like lotion, hense the name. It comes beautifully packaged and is a great idea for a serum, one that doesn’t come out of a dropper. While I do love this products, it hasn’t made it into my everyday routine just yet because I’m having a hard time figuring out where to add it and it is a bit sticky when it goes on, but I do love it, nonetheless.

Balancing Toner -

This toner is nice, it works like you’d assume a toner would work and I’d say it does give a bit of a glow to the skin. Also packaged wonderfully and luxurious looking, I have found myself reaching for this more than the serum as it’s easy to use on a day-to-day.

Osco:

Pollution Defence Serum -

This little guy sure is powerful. I love using this before I’ll be outside for a while. It goes on softly and does not clog my pores like I feel most serums do. I would 100% refer friends to this company and this cute little serum.

Plaine Products:

Shampoo and Conditioner -

This brand offers everyday products in no waste containers and once you’re finished, you can send them back to be refilled for a fee, or for them to reuse. I love the scent of these hair care products, but they’re not anything special, just a shampoo and a conditioner like usual. What is special and worth your money is the fact that they are so good to the environment and do the refills.

Body Wash and Lotion -

These guys can also do the refill thing and also smell great, but are also like any other product of its kind. When I say they’re like other lotions, I don’t mean to belittle them. They’re not by any means the same as other products and the company is amazing for the refill and environmental factor.

Badala Bath Co.:

Refresh and Calm Scrubs -

These scrubs WORK. I have been sleeping on scrubs because after these ones, my skin was glowing, my heart was happy and I was soft all over. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. They work with trafficking, abuse and poverty survivors to give proceeds to company’s helping people out of those situations and also hire people who have gone through similar problems.

Calm Bath Milk -

I love the idea of a milk bath and this bath milk gives an amazing calming scent and a beautiful colour.

Knours:

D-5 Facial Soap and pH Body Soap -

These soaps are curated perfectly for the needs of the body and face and I have been enjoying using them so much. Also, the brand sent us a shower holder for the body soap. Which, by the way, is perfect for the V area and specially made for this. The soaps are soft and smooth and calming to feel on the skin. 10/10 would recommend.

Skin Meditation -

This product is very calming, as I feel the majority of Knours products are, it’s a bit on the sticky side, but I use it under a lotion for a perfect glow and soft skin and I adore it!

Bybi:

Detox Dust -

Detox Dust is a mask maker that you can mix with just about any base liquid to form a beautiful charcoal mask that makes you GLOW and, of course, detox. I’ve used it quite a few times in my night time routine and continue to love it more and more with each new base I test out.

Babe Balm -

This paste-like product is perfect for a moisturizing swap out for very dry areas and a clean glow look. I’ve used this as a no-shimmer highlight that’s how glowy it is, I don’t make this stuff up. I would definitely recommend this brand to anybody searching for a glow!
