1-Love

The 1-love photo series was inspired by the 1970’s and women's tennis star Billie Jean King. In 1973, male tennis player Bobby Riggs challenged King to a $100,000 winner-take-all tennis match, dubbed “the Battle of the Sexes”. Riggs, sure of his victory, claimed that he would win because “she’s a woman and they don’t have the emotional stability”. King responded to his slew of insults by famously calling him a "chauvinist pig". History favors the humble, and Billie Jean King won all three tennis sets. You can read more about Billie Jean King and the Battle of the Sexes here.

The editing was done by VSCO and utilized the A4-A10 series. A4 got the most use. On top of that, exposure was brought up to 1.1, contrast down to 1.1 and saturation down to 1.2. Enjoy 1-love.
